New games

So last night I went to the midnight releasing of Fallout New Vegas. I went with two buddies of mine who to be honest I hadn't talk to in awhile. We all met up at the guy's house and we played the 360 till it was time to get over to South County to get in line for the game.

We got there around 11:40 which was pretty good since we left around 11:20 from Waterloo. It seems you need your ticket for what you purchased to actually get the game. I found that out the hard way because while we were waiting in line they were checking if you had your ticket. Me and all my wisdom forgot it on the computer in out basement. So when it was my turn to go inside they asked for it and my ID. I game them my ID but I wasn't able to produce my ticket. Lucky for me the Game-Stop manager Lisa is super cool and she knew me from all the game I have bought there. She looked at me and just gave me the game. I walked out of there like I was on Cloud 9.

Tonight I plan on going back there to give me her my ticket and to also turn in an app to work there. I feel that place would be good for me due to it involement with games and systems. Can't wait for class to end so I can high-tail it over there to turn it in.

  1. Did you get the collector's version of the game? I was sure I would be able to find a Xbox 360 Collector's Edition without a preorder but came to find out I was dead wrong. When Modern Warfare 2 came out I found a ton of collector editions and assumed it would be the same for Fallout. They had a PC and 2 of the PS3 versions but my computer is ungodly slow and my brother has the PS3 in his room.

Working at Best Buy or Gamespot is my dream job, until I get my education finished obviously. Hopefully you hear back from Gamespot. It should help that you are one of their regulars and a good customer.

  2. That game looks pretty sweet, I got the first one and I couldn't get enough of it. I'm kind of hoping my girlfriend will get it for me for Christmas.I'm not real sure if it will be better than the first Fallout so I'm kind of wanting someone else's opinion on it before I go and get it.

I also agree, I don't think Gamestop would be a bad place to work. Especially if your really interested in games, for me it's just kind of something I do in my past time. But you will have to let me know how the game is so I know whether or not it is something I would be really interested in getting.
